Today I want to share with you my personal appreciation of the Xiaomi Mi3, one of the popular phones from Chinese Xiaomi brand, which is currently in an era of long boom due to its spectacular sales online and its quality/price ratio.
I decided to buy this phone because of the good comments that listened and looked at famous YouTube channels like Andro4all and El Androide Libre that mentioned the brand continuously and that it stood out for their good technical specifications, and the video that marked my decision was when the big G logo made the comparison between the Mi3 and Nexus 5, which at the time was the ship.
This great team purchased it through eBay and even though I had some to another drawback to bring it from china up my country, Peru (already in another post I promise how to do it) could get the team my hands, sincerely I was fascinated with the good design of the equipment and its dimensions, although it is a big team, you feel comfortable in your hands once you get used.
Technical specifications detailed it below:
- Processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 to 2.3 GHz to 4 cores.
- Adreno 330 graphics processor
- 2GB RAM memory
- Screen of 5″ IPS LCD with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 FullHD
- Internal storage not expandable 16GB or 64GB
- 13mpx with sensor Sony Exmor RS rear camera
- Front camera 2mpx
- 3080mAh battery
- Bluetooth 4.0
- GPS Glonass
- Recording in FullHD 1080p
How you can see the specifications are very good even now, a year after I bought it, one of the reasons why I emphasize good performance today is that the team is still fast, fluid, easy to use and above all which has features which already not I can do without.
This processor is really fast, but have already left models Snapdragon 801, 805 and 810 that stand out for their low power consumption, the 800 remains in my opinion a very good processor since it can run the heavier games without a problem.
The RAM memory is essential for the good performance of a team, and this phone to comply perfectly with your 2GB of RAM, but now the latest generation phones usually come with 3GB or more, 2GB is sufficient for good performance.
The front panel of this device, I love, above all because whatever the viewing angle will be the perfect image, I think more than the FullHD (1920 × 1080) resolutions are somewhat exaggerated, because the human eye is no longer able to see the difference (except that go out there with a magnifying glass, measuring the number of pixels per inch).
Battery is the main factor why many people end up deciding for a terminal or another, because if you’re going to be running around the House looking for a wall outlet to charge your phone it ends up being a discomfort.
I can attest that battery has known me last for up to 3 days without any problem, clear that this depends on how many applications are installed (there are some that are initiated when the terminal is turned on) which may result in battery consumption. Here I present a screenshot I made:
And if you are one of the people who bring you the juice to high-end phones:
Yet the duration always exceeds the whole day.
Chamber of this terminal until today I love, being a great ally to take quality photos, with each update was taking Xiaomi of your OS, I was fascinated by the fact that the quality of the pictures were spectacular, here some that I myself did show them:
MIUI, the cornerstone
MIUI ROM that brings this terminal, based on Android, it is responsible for that this phone is so popular, in fact, this ROM is available for many terminals, which are not necessarily manufactured by Xiaomi, can be downloaded from their website in English but they can also choose the version in Spanish.
When I made the purchase of Xiaomi Mi3 came to me with MIUI v5, 4.3 Android-based Jelly Bean, but the good thing is that it could opt for version developer which was updated every Friday, or the stable version receiving a monthly update, which added more and more interesting features to the team, here show them the first capture screen I made :
With every update I received, MIUI functions were increasingly better and sometimes even resorted to uninstall apps to which I was accustomed to other terminals.
One of the things that fascinates me the fact to be able to customize the system with the themes provided by MIUI:
With all the updates that I receive, I could upgrade to Android KitKat 4.4.4 and that could check the data of the terminal:
Finally I can highlight this ROM you can customize security from block unwanted contact (calls and SMS), define that applications will run at power on and even customize each permit detailed by feature (GPS, Bluetooth, access to the camera), if you buy me another team could not live without these fabulous features.
I can say that after a year of use of my Xiaomi Mi3, has been best buy mobile phone that I’ve done in my life, despite the fact that the phone has not 4G truth doesn’t worry me, because the downloads have always been fast and usually I use more my phone with Wi-Fi. As I mentioned in the beginning, all this is my personal appreciation and I hope they serve to you who always want optimum performance of your smartphone.
